Brand-new CX-9 is packed with technology and entertainment keeping the whole family connected.
Mazda's brand-new CX-9 has been fully redesigned from the ground up.
With the introduction of Mazda Skyactiv-G 2.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine, with its dynamic pressure turbo system, the brand-new CX-9 is Mazdas most powerful family SUV yet.
With a 170 kilowatts of power and 420 newton meters of torque, the cx-9 delivers excellent dynamic performance, especially in that low to mid rev range.
Now all that low down torque is perfect for towing and there is still plenty of extra power when you need it the most.
Now you might think with all that power in such a large SUV that the cx-9 would chew through the fuel but, it’s not actually the case.
Mazdas SKYACTIV technology delivers fuel economy figures as low as 8.4 litres per a hundred kilometers in the front wheel drive models, and 8.8 litres per hundred kilometers in the all-wheel-drive models.
Traditionally with turbo engines there is quite often a lag in response from the moment you put your foot down to when the turbo speeds up, but Mazda’s world-first dynamic pressure turbo system dramatically reduces that lag meaning as soon as you put your foot down, the power is there when you need it.
Couple that with the new chassis offering greater stiffness and flexibility thanks to Mazda SKYACTIV technology you get a much more sporty and dynamic feel.
Everything has been thought out, from why use it to the position of the active driving display, all to help create the ultimate driving experience.
This CX-9 was designed for the modern-day parent, someone that’s looking for an SUV that ticks all the boxes for the family yet looks fantastic and delivers a superior driving performance.
You’ll buy it for your family, but you’ll end up driving it for yourself.
Mazda have always placed a high emphasis on safety and the brand-new CX-9 has taken a forward leap with the technologies it now uses to help keep you, and your family safe on the road.
Packed inside is a redesigned active driving display and mazda’s latest iACTIVSENSE safety technologies, like advanced blind-spot monitoring, smart city brake support and radar cruise control now with a stop-and-go function.
All these features contributing to the CX-9s five-star ancap safety rating.
And, to top it all off, there’s some smartly designed creature comforts.
One of the latest changes to the suite of iACTIVSENSE safety technologies, is that mazda’s radar cruise control now has stop go function.
The radar cruise works by automatically adjusting your set cruise control speed when you approach a slower-moving car in traffic.
It maintains a set safe traveling distance which you set with the controls on the steering wheel.
The stop-go function works in heavy traffic by bringing your car to a complete stop, then accelerating away when the vehicle in front begins to move.
There’s also advanced blind-spot monitoring which detects vehicles in your adjacent lanes up to 50 meters away.
The system will alert you if there is a vehicle in or approaching your blind spots.
Other technologies include lane departure warning, which alerts you if you start to drift outside of your lane, and also corrects your steering to help keep you centered.
And then there’s rear cross-traffic alert, which comes in very handy in shopping centre car parks.
Another great piece of technology is the brand-new cx-9 adaptive LED headlamps.
These help to keep you both seen and safe when you’re driving on the road at night.
Each headlamp has four blocks of LED lights within it, and when approaching traffic is detected by the camera on the wind screen, the system automatically dims the appropriate blocks of light, giving you maximum illumination on the road ahead but, without blinding the other road users.
Brand-new CX-9 is also available with mazda’s iACTIV all-wheel-drive system and, features like traction control, abs and, airbags as standard across the range.
Whether it’s hitting the open road or a busy city commute, mazda’s brand-new CX-9 is helping keep you, and your family safe.
